Grant Petrey's creative practice spans; time based media, curatorial projects, production and research. He has presented his research and work internationally, with early work being part of the National Collection of Great Britain & Northern Ireland and moving image work being part of the British Film Institute (BFI) Archive. His fine art practice explores affect and temporality within the networked city and the legacies of moving image. Recent work has been curated by Alex Da Corte, Kathy Rae Huffman, Ruth Claxton, and Beth Fox and recently screened in; the Whitechapel Gallery, London, the Centre for Contemporary Culture Barcelona; Contemporary Art Ruhr, Berlin and Crane Arts, Philadelphia. He currently works as a Senior Lecturer in theory and practice in the School of Screen and the School of Design at University of the Arts London, and Senior Lecturer in the School of Fine Art at University for the Creative Arts, where he was formerly a course leader in Fine Art Media practice.  His PhD research into the imaging of city was obtained at the Royal College of Art, London. He has worked extensively with Turner Contemporary, Margate, Tate Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
